Chad Decker serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Alphazyme. Mr. Decker brings over 20 years of experience in commercial and business operations roles in the biotech, healthcare, life science, and diagnostic industries. Prior to joining Alphazyme, Chad headed commercial operations for Quad Technologies, and was instrumental in securing a successful exit to Bio-Techne. Previously, Chad oversaw the Qiagen Custom and OEM businesses, as the Vice President of Sales, with responsibility for the Enzymatics, SGS, Quantabio, and Qiagen OEM business units. Earlier in his career, Chad served in numerous leadership roles at ThermoFisher Scientific including the Healthcare Market Division’s national reference lab business, where he ultimately transitioned into Corporate Accounts and led a global healthcare sourcing initiative worth over $100 million, working closely with partners such as Kaiser Permanente, Sonic, Quest, and LabCorp. Chad has built global organizations from the ground up, efficiently integrated new acquisitions, developed strategies for aligning multiple business units and launching disruptive technologies, and had full P&L oversight.
