Carle Dugan serves as a Lab Technician at Alphazyme where she conducts daily lab maintenance and assists where needed in any experiments being completed by associate scientists. Prior to joining Alphazyme, Carle completed her bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Florida State University where she assisted in research analyzing toxic effects of mercury on goliath grouper. She specifically helped with developing methods to analyze and quantify abnormalities in liver tissue of goliath grouper. She has also worked with Loggerhead Marinelife Center conducting nighttime field sampling for nesting season. She later worked with Fish and Wildlife Research Institute where she prepared samples from previous nesting seasons for stable isotope analysis. Carle enjoys baking, reading and taking her dog on new adventures.
