Dr. Ania Knapinska is the Director of Research and Development for Alphazyme. She is responsible for the development and optimization of Alphazyme’s scientific processes to ensure our products meet high quality standards. Previously, as Associate Director of the Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (CMBB) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Dr. Knapinska established and led interdisciplinary team collaborations, international project management, drug development research, and facilities utilization. She specializes in the creation of extensive collaborations between research organizations in both academic and industrial environments. Dr. Knapinska has 20 years of expertise in the development of novel model systems, assays for drug discovery and development, primarily working with a wide variety of enzymes. Dr. Knapinska co-founded two biotechnology startups and is an alumnus of FAU’s Tech Runway Business Accelerator Program for new start-up businesses. She earned a Ph.D. in Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology from Rutgers University/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
